The seminar was convened with the primary objective of presenting and reviewing the academic curricula being proposed by the subject committee for the above-mentioned computing disciplines. A key highlight of the proceedings was a detailed MIT Micro Syllables Review and Validation Session, during which participants critically examined international academic benchmarks and their applicability to the Nepali higher education context.

The subject committee comprised a well-rounded mix of expertise, including IT Industry Specialists who provided perspectives on current market demands and emerging technology trends, distinguished Academic Professors who contributed insights into pedagogical best practices and curriculum design, Government IT Officers who offered guidance on policy alignment and national digital infrastructure priorities, and University Professors and Staff from Lumbini Buddhist University who provided institutional context and academic governance considerations.

The collaborative dialogue among these diverse stakeholders facilitated a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed programs. Discussions centered on ensuring that the curricula meet international academic standards while remaining aligned with the needs of Nepal’s growing IT sector and broader development goals.

The seminar concluded on a highly positive note, with participants expressing broad agreement on the direction of the proposed programs and commending the initiative taken by the Faculty of Development Studies and Applied Sciences. The productive review and encouraging feedback received during the session mark a significant milestone in LBU’s efforts to expand and strengthen its offerings in the computing sciences.
