Dedicated Support System for International Students

A dedicated support system for international students is essential for ensuring that students from around the world have a smooth and successful academic journey at a foreign university. Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) has established a system to provide comprehensive assistance and guidance. Here are services that can be included in this support system:

  1. International Student Office (ISO):

    • Establish an ISO responsible for overseeing the support system and serving as the central point of contact for international students.

  2. Pre-Arrival Assistance:

    • Provide pre-arrival information packets containing details on visa requirements, travel, accommodation options, and what to expect upon arrival.

  3. Academic Advising:

    • Offer academic advising services to help students choose appropriate courses, understand degree requirements, and navigate academic processes.

  4. Visa and Immigration Assistance:

    • Provide guidance and assistance with visa applications, extensions, and compliance with immigration regulations.

  5. Post-Graduation Support:

Step-by-Step Application Process

1. Visit the Online Application Portal

Access the international student application form at apply.lbu.edu.np. The portal provides a list of programs available for admission. Explore our program offerings and select the one that aligns with your educational and career goals.

2. Complete the Application Form

Fill out the online application form with accurate details. Ensure you include the following:

• Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, and contact details.

• Digital Passport-Size Photo: A recently clicked, clear digital photo in passport format.

• Address Information: Your current address and permanent residence details.

• Passport Information: Passport number, date of issue, and expiry date.

• Educational Qualifications: Details of your last completed educational degree or qualification.

3. Submit the Application Form

After filling in the required details, submit the form online. Ensure all information is accurate before submission.

4. Await Contact from the International Student Support Centre

Once your application is submitted, the International Student Support Centre will contact you via phone or email. They will assist with the next steps, including payment and document verification.

5. Payment of Application Fees

The application payment can be made through:

• Wire Transfer: Details will be provided by the International Student Support Centre ([email protected]).
