
Lumbini, Nepal ā In a significant step towards fostering academic collaboration, Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU), Nepal, and Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 8, 2025. This agreement marks a milestone in strengthening bilateral academic ties and promoting research, cultural exchange, and educational excellence between the two esteemed institutions.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Subarnalal Bajracharya, Vice Chancellor of LBU, and Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kamal Kapur, Officiating Registrar of AUUP. The agreement underscores the shared commitment of both universities to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation through joint initiatives. Under this MoU, both institutions will facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, collaborate on research projects, jointly publish scholarly articles and books, and organize cultural programs, workshops, and seminars to promote academic and cultural learning experiences.

This partnership will be in effect for five years, with provisions for renewal upon mutual agreement. Both universities have also committed to maintaining confidentiality and respecting intellectual property rights related to their collaborative academic endeavors. Prof. (Dr.) Bajracharya emphasized that this partnership will open new avenues for research and academic excellence, benefiting students and faculty members alike. Similarly, Prof. (Dr.) Kapur expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to drive innovation and cross-border educational synergy.
