Lumbini, Nepal – May 14, 2025 — Representatives from Nanhai Buddhism Academy, China, visited Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) this week and engaged in an interactive session with students, faculty members, and key stakeholders of the university. The visit was part of the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions, established in 2023, which has already seen a successful academic and cultural exchange between their student bodies.

During the interaction program, representatives from Nanhai Buddhism Academy discussed various aspects of the semester exchange program, including academic experiences, cultural immersion, and facilities offered to students during their stay in China. The visiting delegates highlighted the enriching academic environment at Nanhai Buddhism Academy and encouraged more students from LBU to participate in future exchange opportunities.

More than 80 students from Lumbini Buddhist University have already taken part in the semester exchange program in China, gaining valuable international exposure and deepening their understanding of Buddhist philosophy and practice. Similarly, over 50 students from Nanhai Buddhism Academy are currently studying at LBU as part of the exchange program, contributing to a vibrant cross-cultural learning environment on campus.

The ongoing collaboration between LBU and Nanhai Buddhism Academy reflects a shared commitment to promoting Buddhist education, intercultural dialogue, and academic excellence across borders.
