The book is abound with the literature of Himalayan heritage and culture. It has been complied with the contribution of seventeen writers. It has expanded the horizon of Himalayan Buddhist history, tradition, culture and language. It focuses on the reverence of the Himalayan heritage and plays a vital role in attracting tourists from all over the world boosting national income through tourism. The authors of the book are mostly connected to Buddhist sects and monasteries, including Lumbini Buddhist University. Field observation, interview and literary sources have been used in course of writing each article in it. It talks about monasteries in Nepal that haven’t been mentioned before. Buddhist art, architecture, regular and occasional sacred performances have also been described. It contains 89 pictures of the Buddhist monasteries, Gumba, painting, art and architecture at the end. The writers have written articles on their native villages and sacred sites, who are familiar with their religious activities from birth.

The book collects and studies Nepali words typically used in the Himalayan region which can enrich Nepali dictionary. Prof. Dr. Gitu Giri has contributed in editing as a Chief Editor and Dr. Nyima Sherpa and Mr. Sumanta Raj Neupane worked as the editor.
