Lumbini Buddhist University Signs Historic Agreement with Wat Phra Dhammakaya
On 23rd December, Thailand, Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) signed a landmark Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Thailand. The partnership aims to strengthen academic and cultural ties between the two institutions and promote Buddhist teachings on a global scale.
A key objective of this agreement is the establishment of a meditation center within the premises of LBU. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a dedicated space for mindfulness and meditation practices, drawing on the rich traditions of Buddhism.
The MOA also facilitates the exchange of professors and students between the two institutions. This initiative is expected to encourage mutual learning and foster cross-cultural understanding, further enriching the academic environment of both organizations.
In addition, the collaboration will focus on organizing joint seminars, workshops, and conferences on topics such as Buddhism, meditation, and peacebuilding. Collaborative research initiatives will also be prioritized, contributing to a deeper understanding of Buddhist philosophy and practices.
