On 20th May 2024, Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) entered into a landmark agreement with the Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce in Xi’an, China. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a new era of extensive cooperation in the fields of culture, education, science, and technology.
The Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce has pledged to collaborate closely with LBU, fostering bilateral exchange and development. They have also strongly committed to supporting selected LBU students by providing financial and logistical assistance for further studies and research in mainland China.
To facilitate this partnership, the Xi’an Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce has established an office in the newly built administrative and educational building at LBU’s Devdah campus. The “Nepal-China Culture, Education, Science and Technology Research Center” office was officially inaugurated yesterday afternoon. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the respected Vice Chancellor of LBU, Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, and the Executive Chairman of the Xi’an Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Zhong Guibin.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties between China and Nepal, particularly in the realms of academic and cultural exchange. Both institutions are committed to leveraging this partnership to achieve new heights of success and mutual benefit.
