Lumbini, June 24, 2024 — Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU), through its Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has entered into strategic partnerships with five renowned institutions. The collaboration was formalized today during a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, which was attended by prominent representatives from all parties. Dr. Hari Sharan Chakun, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at LBU, signed the agreements on behalf of the university.

The five institutions involved in this significant collaboration are Panini College of Hospitality, ICACHM, Kapilvastu School of Hotel Management, FairCode School of Bartending, Barista and Beverage, and Fume Coffee Training Institute. These partnerships aim to foster educational cooperation, focusing on developing and implementing training programs that address market and community needs. The programs will be available in one-month, three-month, and six-month durations, providing flexible learning opportunities for a diverse range of students.

Under the terms of the agreements, LBU will provide oversight, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure the quality of the training programs. Upon successful completion of the programs, LBU will issue certifications and transcripts. Additionally, the university will organize training sessions, workshops, and orientation programs for trainers, facilitate administrative tasks, and supervise the training programs.

Each partner institution will be responsible for delivering the training programs according to the prescribed curriculum and ensuring active participation and engagement of trainees. They will also manage daily operations and logistics of the training sessions and facilitate visits for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Trainees will be evaluated through practical skill demonstrations, behavior assessments, and theoretical exams. Successful candidates will receive digital certificates containing comprehensive details. The partner institutions are authorized to use LBU’s logo on their main banners, promoting the “University and Community Linkage Program.”

Dr. Hari Sharan Chakun expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the educational landscape. “This partnership represents a significant advancement in our efforts to provide high-quality education and training that meets the needs of our community and the market,” Dr. Chakun stated.

Representatives from all five partner institutions echoed this sentiment, highlighting the mutual benefits and the potential for future growth and innovation through this collaboration.
