
Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) recently held a significant meeting with globally renowned experts to discuss the Vision 2030 framework and collaboration efforts for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The discussion was graced by the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya and Registrar Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya.
The distinguished experts in attendance included Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt, the founder and director of the China Outbound Tourism Institute (COTRI); Dr. Judith Arlt; Dr. Peter Jeng, Deputy Secretary of the EU China Commission; and Dr. Imran Gurung, an expert in Nepal-India-China Relations and Promotion. The meeting was effectively coordinated by Dr. Shree Prasad Bhattarai.

The discussion focused on fostering academic and research collaborations between LBU and international institutions, with an emphasis on sustainable development, cross-border tourism, and global cooperation in higher education. The Vision 2030 agenda aims to integrate LBU’s academic and research initiatives with the broader goals of sustainability, peace, and economic development, leveraging expertise from international scholars and policymakers.
