A delegation from Lumbini Buddhist University, led by Professor Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, Vice Chancellor, recently visited Jinan Normal University to bolster academic cooperation and explore new avenues for collaboration. The delegation included Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya, Registrar; Dr. Sagar Neupane, Associate Professor; Mr. Rajendra Ghimire, Academic Planning Coordinator; and Mr. Daya Ram Gautam, Assistant Professor of Sanskrit.
The visit underscored the longstanding partnership between LBU and Jinan Normal University (Ji’nan University), which spans 14 years and focuses on humanities, social sciences, and information technology.

Zhang Hong, Vice President of Jinan Normal University, emphasized the strategic importance of international collaboration in advancing mutual academic interests, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.
Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya highlighted the pivotal role of inter-university partnerships in fostering regional development, emphasizing the shared responsibility to contribute to societal well-being.
Professor Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya expressed urgency in revising and implementing new collaboration initiatives promptly, affirming his commitment to materializing potential areas of cooperation swiftly.
Professor Jia Haitao spotlighted the opportunities in South Asian and Nepalese studies, emphasizing the potential for enriched cultural and academic exchanges.
Mr. Rajendra Ghimire stressed bilateral academic cooperation as instrumental in mutual growth, outlining plans to enhance collaborative academic programs between the two institutions.
Mr. Daya Ram Gautam underscored the importance of mutual cooperation in teaching Eastern philosophy and Chinese Buddhism, aiming to deepen cultural understanding through educational exchanges.
Dr. Sagar Neupane addressed the overall scope of cooperation opportunities between the universities and their respective nations, envisioning comprehensive academic exchanges and joint research endeavors.
During their visit, the delegates toured the University Laboratories, Human Body Museum, University History Museum, and other significant sites, gaining insights into the university’s resources and academic environment.
The visit concluded with a commitment from both universities to expedite the implementation of new collaborative projects, reflecting a shared dedication to advancing academic excellence and cultural understanding between Nepal and China.
