Lumbini, March 21, 2025 — Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) and ZhongHua Temple jointly organized the ZhongHua Temple – Lumbini Buddhist University Traditional Culture Exchange Program on March 21st at the Auditorium Hall, Central Office, Lumbini. The event, held from 14:30 to 17:00, served as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, strengthening ties between Nepal and China.

A significant highlight of the event was the visit of His Excellency Mr. Chen Song, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, whose presence added special importance to the occasion, reflecting the strong diplomatic and educational ties between Nepal and China. Prior to the main event, 35 Chinese participants, including exchange students from the Nanhai Buddhism Academy, were already present at the venue.
The distinguished guest was received by LBU’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, and Registrar, Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Bajracharya and Dr. Acharya provided H.E. Mr. Chen Song with a guided tour of the university’s Central Office. They introduced LBU’s academic programs and outlined the university’s strategic vision for educational advancement and international partnerships.

During the program, H.E. Mr. Chen Song delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening Nepal-China relations. He highlighted the rich cultural heritage shared between the two nations and praised LBU’s dedication to promoting cross-cultural dialogue.

Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya also addressed the gathering, reflecting on the university’s commitment to fostering academic and cultural partnerships. He expressed gratitude to H.E. Mr. Chen Song and the Chinese delegation for their participation, underscoring the significance of ongoing collaborations.
