Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya, the Vice Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University, is a renowned academician with a career spanning over 38 years at Tribhuvan University. His extensive experience in academia and significant contributions to various developmental projects have made him a prominent figure in the educational and consulting sectors in Nepal.

Prof. Bajracharya’s academic journey began with an M.A. in Business Administration and Public Administration. He furthered his education by earning a Ph.D. in Corporate Cash Management from Delhi University, where his dissertation provided insightful analysis and contributions to the field of financial management. Starting his career as a lecturer at Tribhuvan University, his dedication and expertise in his field earned him progressive promotions over the years. Throughout his 38-year tenure, he has been instrumental in mentoring students and enhancing the academic standards at the university. His journey culminated in his appointment as Vice Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University, a position he has held since 2080.

Beyond academia, Prof. Bajracharya has operated multiple colleges in Nepal, significantly expanding educational opportunities and enhancing the quality of higher education in the country. His expertise extends to consulting roles with prominent international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, and USAID, where he has influenced various developmental projects.

Prof. Bajracharya is also the Advisor of the Theravada Buddhist Academy at World Peace Bihar, where he played a key role in its establishment. His guidance has helped the academy become a center of excellence in Buddhist studies and a beacon for peace and education.

In addition to his administrative and consulting roles, Prof. Bajracharya has made significant contributions to research. He has published two influential books, “Production and Operation Management” and “Human Resource Management,” which are widely regarded as essential resources for students and professionals in the field.

Prof. Bajracharya’s achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal and the Mahendra Vidya Bhushan from the late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah, highlighting his exceptional contributions to education and development.
