Rajendra Ghimire leads international engagement at Lumbini Buddhist University. He coordinates the Center for International Relations and the Master in International Relations and Peace Studies. He also teaches International Relations and Development Studies as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
His work links the university with partners in Nepal and across Asia and Europe. He builds academic collaborations, supports international students and faculty, and sets the direction for the university’s global work. He has been part of Lumbini Buddhist University since 2018.
His academic background spans development planning and international relations, with degrees from Nepal and Norway. His research looks at development, poverty, peace, and Buddhist diplomacy. He has presented this work at conferences in India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Nepal.
Rajendra Ghimire is Coordinator of the Center for International Relations at Lumbini Buddhist University, where he leads the university’s global engagement. Ghimire holds an MSc in Global Development and Planning Management from the University of Agder in Norway, and a Master in International Relations and Diplomacy from Midwestern University. His research covers development, poverty, peace, and Buddhist diplomacy, with recent papers in the Dhammacakka Journal and Lumbinī Prabhā. He is a Research Fellow at the Nepal Research Centre, School of Foreign Studies, China Three Gorges University, and a regular speaker at international forums across Asia.
