Biography

Gunakhar Gaire is a dedicated Lecturer at Lumbini Buddhist University with a robust academic background and extensive experience in educational leadership. He holds a Master’s in Education Planning and Management from Tribhuvan University, an MAAB in Applied Buddhism from Lumbini Buddhist University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Archaeology and Buddhist Archaeological Sites from Lumbini Buddhist University, and an MPhil in Nepalese History, Culture, and Archaeology from Tribhuvan University.

He has spent 26 years as Principal at Siddhartha Vidhya Mandir in Kapilvastu, where he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, he served as Campus Chief at Siddhartha College in Taulihawa for 10 years, further showcasing his ability to manage and develop educational institutions. At Lumbini Buddhist University, He has been a lecturer for 8 years, first part-time and then full-time, where he has been instrumental in shaping the academic experience of countless students.

Beyond his roles in educational institutions, Mr. Gunakhar has actively contributed to cultural preservation and heritage management. He has served as a committee member for the Kapilvastu Heritage Festival for 4 years and participated in archaeological excavation and conservation fieldwork for 5 years. His involvement in the planning committee for the Kapilvastu Five-Year Plan highlights his dedication to strategic planning and development in the region. Gunakhar Gaire’s multifaceted expertise and commitment to education and heritage make him an invaluable asset to Lumbini Buddhist University.
