He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Phil in Education, along with a Master’s in Education (M.Ed), which underpins his extensive expertise in the field. Dr. Khanal has also undergone training from multiple national and international organizations, enriching his knowledge and skills in educational planning and administration.
Dr. Kul Prasad Khanal retired as Under Secretary (Officer Level Ten) from Lumbini Cultural Municipality. Following his distinguished career ranging from local to central level government functionaries of education, he worked as a Freelance Consultant and Freelance Expert for various developmental projects in the education sector. Subsequently, he became a Visiting Faculty member at Nepal Open University, Kathmandu University, and Lumbini Buddhist University. His broad teaching experience across these esteemed institutions reflects his commitment to advancing education in Nepal. Dr. Khanal’s expertise is frequently showcased through his presentations at various conferences, where he shares his insights on educational strategies and policies.
Currently, as the Planning and Monitoring Director at Lumbini Buddhist University, Dr. Khanal oversees academic and administrative planning, research support, and coordination with Dean Offices and the University Grant Commission. He is also responsible for documentation work for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA). His dedication to education and his strategic vision make him a pivotal figure in the academic community, driving forward the mission of Lumbini Buddhist University.
