He holds an MSc in Global Development and Planning, an MA in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Science in Politics and Public Administration. He also holds a Professional Certificate in International Development and European Union. Gwaze has strategic interests in consultancy, public policy, diplomacy, democracy, comparative politics, political economy, and humanitarianism. He has expertise in project planning, publishing, NGO work, and leadership development. Gwaze is a Co-Founder of an NGO, the Zimbabwe Human Rights Monitors Platform (Protect Defender Zw). He is also a Guest writer for the Axis Newspaper and he serves as Managing Partner at Elite Acme Consultancy.
