Mr. Churamani Pokharel is an accomplished academic administrator, researcher, and educator currently serving as Assistant Director and Information Officer at Lumbini Buddhist University. In these capacities, he is actively involved in the overall academic and administrative coordination of the university through its central office, contributing significantly to institutional management, policy communication, and educational administration.
Mr. Pokharel holds a Master’s degree in Buddhist Philosophy from Lumbini Buddhist University and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Tribhuvan University. He also earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Tribhuvan University and is a licensed Advocate. His interdisciplinary academic background reflects a strong engagement with Buddhist studies, education, law, and public administration.
Alongside his administrative responsibilities, Mr. Pokharel is actively engaged in teaching and academic mentorship. He teaches Buddhist Philosophy and related subjects in MBA, MAIRPD, and Applied Buddhism programs, where he integrates classical Buddhist wisdom with contemporary academic and professional discourse.
Mr. Pokharel possesses more than fifteen years of professional experience in journalism and media. He has worked with the editorial teams of several leading national newspapers in Nepal, gaining extensive expertise in investigative reporting, academic communication, public affairs, and media analysis. His journalistic background has strengthened his analytical thinking, research orientation, and communication skills, which continue to enrich his academic and administrative work.
His scholarly interests include Buddhist philosophy, ethics, education, governance, law, media studies, and interdisciplinary research. He remains actively involved in writing, research, and intellectual discourse, with a continuing commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and lifelong learning.
