Biography

Dr. Sharada Poudel is a distinguished Associate Professor and currently serves as the Central Library Officer at Lumbini Buddhist University. Her impressive academic journey includes a Ph.D. with a dissertation titled “An Analytical Study of Acara Kamalasila’s Commentary on Arya Prajnaparamita Bajracchedika.” She holds a Master’s Degree in Rural Development, a Postgraduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies.

Dr. Poudel’s extensive involvement in various academic and research projects highlights her dedication to advancing Buddhist studies. She is an active member of the Executive Council at Lumbini Buddhist University and serves on the editorial board of “Lumbini Prabha,” the university’s annual magazine. Since 2015, she has been involved in the Satasahasrika Prajnaparamita project in Kathmandu, contributing significantly to the preservation and study of important Buddhist texts.

Her work experience is diverse and rich, beginning with her role as a lecturer at Lumbini Buddhist University since 2071. She has also shared her expertise internationally as a guest lecturer at Wenli International Academy in Taishun, Wenzhou, China. Additionally, she has taught at Alok Vidya Ashram, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to education at various levels.

Dr. Poudel’s multifaceted academic background and extensive teaching experience make her a valuable asset to Lumbini Buddhist University. As Central Library Officer, she plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the university’s library resources, ensuring that students and faculty have access to a vast array of academic materials.
