Biography

Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya is regarded as a highly accomplished management professional with proficiency in excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities. He is recognized for his ability to establish strategic alliances with organizational leaders, effectively aligning with and providing support for key organizational strategic objectives. His adeptness as a strong strategic planner is underscored by his solid understanding of accounting, fiscal planning, and analysis, as well as financial reporting. Dr. Acharya is known for his skill in building and retaining high-performance teams through the recruitment, development, and motivation of skilled professionals.

From November 2022 to August 2023, Lumbini Buddhist University, Nepal, has been led by an Acting Vice Chancellor in the person of Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya. Under his leadership, the initiation of research center establishment across provinces has taken place, followed by the signing of MOUs with prominent international Buddhist organizations and universities. Additionally, streamlined management systems have been introduced. In his previous role as Registrar, Dr. Acharya achieved noteworthy accomplishments, including the acquisition of land for developmental purposes, the successful organization of events, policy formulation, and the modernization of learning resources.

During the period from October 2016 to now, Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya, in his capacity as Registrar, achieved significant milestones, including the inauguration of Prajna Stupa, City Campus Butwal, Staff quarters, Central library, ladies’ and boys’ hostels, and the launch of new academic programs and many more. His leadership also encompassed the establishment of new academic faculties and programs, research centers, expansion of physical assets, and recognition for financial and administrative excellence.

Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya’s academic roles have included positions such as a Buddhist Studies Lecturer, Assistant Campus Chief, and Assistant Lecturer, contributing to a well-rounded skill set and extensive experience.

Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya’s educational background comprises a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from Lumbini Buddhist University, an M.A. in Buddhist Studies, a PGD in Buddhist Studies from Tribhuvan University, and a B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from Tribhuvan University.

With an unwavering commitment to education, leadership, and strategic growth, Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya’s extensive experience in academia and management underscores his ability to drive transformative change and achieve success within complex and dynamic environments.
