Biography

Prem Chaudhary Siri Vajira, is a dedicated and experienced educator, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a Lecturer. With a rigorous training background as a Theravada monk in Sri Lanka, he has dedicated his life to the study and teaching of Buddhist principles. His extensive education includes a strong command of Pali language and literature, complemented by his full ordination as a monk.

His journey in academia has been marked by his significant contributions to Sri Lankan universities, where he has played a pivotal role in teaching and guiding students in Buddhist studies. His leadership role in Lumbini, particularly in organizing Tripitaka chanting and focusing on spiritual enhancement, underscores his commitment to the mission of Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU).

In his capacity at LBU, he envisions providing continuous support to establish and strengthen Theravada discipline within the university. His international exposure and experience in organizing seminars have equipped him with the skills necessary to help LBU gain global recognition and foster academic exchanges. Furthermore, his expertise in Pali language and literature positions him to facilitate groundbreaking research, thereby elevating the university’s academic standing.
