Dr. Nyima Sherpa is an accomplished scholar in the field of Buddhist Philosophy, hailing from Ramechap, Nepal. Holding a Ph.D. degree in Buddhist Philosophy from the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies in Varanasi, India, he has established himself as an expert in Tibetan Buddhist literature and is skilled in teaching Buddhism in Tibetan, English, Hindi, and Nepali. With a rich academic journey that commenced at the Shree Himalaya Primary School in Nepal, he pursued his secondary education at Phugmoche Ngagyur Karma Choeling Monastery in Solukhumbu. Dr. Sherpa’s passion for knowledge led him to obtain his Ph.D. from the same institute, with a focus on the comparative study of Indian Philosophy, specifically the intersections between Advaitic Brahman and Buddhistic Tathāgatagarbha. His extensive teaching experience includes imparting knowledge at institutions like Sakya Institute of Higher Studies and Azom Monastery in Nepal. Additionally, he has contributed as an English translator for exchange program students and has served as a Nepali interpreter for esteemed figures such as Sakya Trizin Rinpoche.
