Commemorating the 2568th Birth Anniversary of the Buddha

Celebration of Vaishakha Buddha Pūrṇimā Divas is an international day Celebrated all over the World for fostering Peace and Harmony. All the religious traditions of the world believe in Peace and Harmony and teach principles and human values that can play a pivotal role in mitigating the suffering of human beings. Ironically, many of the current conflicts around the world are being fought primarily along religious, sectarian and ideological conflicts. The Indian Embassy Kathmandu Nepal in collaboration with Lumbini Buddhist University, Lumbini will deliberate upon finding a way forward on these matters of global concern on 22nd May, 2024 at the Lumbini Buddhist University, Lumbini, Nepal.

The theme of the Buddha Jayanti celebration is Buddha Dharma and Global Peace and will reflect upon and strive towards to pro-actively contribute towards conflict avoidance and sustainable peace.
