To mark the auspicious occasion of the 2569th Buddha Jayanti (2082 Bikram Sambat), the Embassy of India in Nepal, in collaboration with Lumbini Buddhist University, warmly invites you to a scholarly symposium focusing on the two nations’ shared Buddhist legacy.

About the Event:

This special symposium celebrates the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and spiritual connections between India and Nepal through the lens of Buddhism. Lumbini—the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha—is a symbol of peace and enlightenment for the world. This event aims to:

–  Explore the ancient and enduring ties between the two countries in the realm of Buddhist teachings, pilgrimage, and culture

–  Promote academic and cultural dialogue on Buddhist studies

–  Encourage bilateral cooperation for the preservation and promotion of Buddhist heritage sites
