Venerable Metteyya Sakyaputta AKA Abdesh Tripathi, a distinguished alumnus of Lumbini Buddhist University, embodies the essence of academic excellence and devotion to Buddhism. Graduating in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Buddhist Studies, his journey extended beyond classrooms, as he served as the Former Chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust, where he played a pivotal role in preserving the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. Venerable Metteyya’s commitment to compassion, wisdom, and mindfulness continues to inspire our community, exemplifying the transformative power of education and the enduring values of Lumbini Buddhist University. His story serves as a beacon of enlightenment and the university’s profound impact on society. He is also a PhD Scholar at LBU now.
