The objectives of these courses are to impart the students with theoretical and practical
knowledge and skill in Archaeological Explorations, Excavation, Exhibition, Publication and
Conservation and Preservation, in addition to a general knowledge of the development of the
Buddhist activities and artifacts such as art, architecture, Paleography, Epigraphy and
Numismatics.
On the completion of the Course, the students will be qualified to:
• Work as field archaeologists to undertake archaeological exploration and excavations;
• Work as advisers or experts on the subject in the government, NGOs or INGOs; and
• Work as teachers in Universities.
